Making Sure that Persons with Developmental Disabilities Get the Best Medical Care

We would like to invite you to attend a presentation sponsored by the A. J. Pappanikou Center on Disabilities, the Office of Protection and Advocacy and The Kennedy Center. Dr. Gerard Kerins, Section Chief of Geriatric Medicine at the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven, CT, and Anne Broadhurst and Chris Gaynor from the Office of Protection and Advocacy will be presenting a workshop, entitled Making Sure that Persons with Developmental Disabilities Get the Best Medical Care, which will focus on practical suggestions to improve the medical care for persons with disabilities at the doctor’s office, in the emergency room, in the hospital and in the nursing home settings.
