Partnership for Inclusive Practices
Overview
In 2009 the Partnership for Inclusive Practices was initiated between the UCONN University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCONN UCEDD), the CT State Department of Education, preschool special education, and the CT Birth to Three System to design and implement professional development related to early intervention and early childhood special education. Since the inception of a collaborative partnership between the UCONN UCEDD, 619 and Part C, the State Education Resource Center (SERC) and Connecticut Charts-A-Course were also included as representatives of the state’s professional development provider network and agencies that could support the implementation of the trainings. To date the activities of this collaboration have resulted in identification of training topics, speakers and audience and the delivery of professional development to the audience of Birth-5 providers in the State.
